It all began as an hobby
With the increasing volume of e-waste and electronics becoming more accessible, making your own 3D printer from an old DVD player and floppy drives was definitely a fun way to dive into sustainable robotics
Developed at incubator
As the projects grew larger and the orders became too much for the bedroom, the entrepreneurial adventure began at the startup incubator ZWINC.
Repurposing non-recyclable materials
Our ambition for recycling waste materials started with the urge to do something with non-recyclable waste materials such as overdue fire hoses, cart tires, or discarded sails. As long as it didn’t have a purpose anymore, we wanted it, and turned it into multifunctional furniture.
Developed first biobased material
As we aimed to create a long-term impact on the furniture industry, we transitioned from repurposing waste materials to utilizing local, renewable materials. In 2021, we achieved our first success with locally grown and processed cup plant.
New office and workspace
With our sights set on revolutionizing the furniture industry and making bio 3D printing accessible, we expanded into our first workspace in Zwolle!
By the summer of 2023, all our research and development had shown us it was possible: our first fully biodegradable piece of furniture with the strength of wood.
First commercial prints
We’re not there yet, but we’re working tirelessly to prepare our 3D printing technology for the market!
